The People’s House and Synagogue, Bnei Zion
1949
Bnei Zion (Moshav)
Hurshat Oranim

The People’s House and the synagogue were planned in 1949. They were built on a well-maintained hill at the center of the Bnei Zion moshav. The moshav was established only two years previously, and these two structures represented the members’ need for communal and organizational spaces, which was shown in People’s Houses and synagogues in other moshavim in the working settlement. The people's house and the synagogue are connected by an indoor arcade, and to this day they form the town’s cultural and community center.
